Sheyantha Abeykoon
Chief Financial Officer of
Axiata Digital
Sheyantha Abeykoon currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Axiata Digital Services Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Axiata Group Berhad, based out of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Prior to taking on this role in 2017, Mr. Abeykoon served as the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Commerce Lanka (Private) Limited, the operator of wOw.lk, the largest e-commerce portal in Sri Lanka and a subsidiary of Dialog Axiata PLC. He has over 17 years of work experience spanning various industries including financial services, retail, ICTA, the last 10 of which have been in senior management positions.
Mr. Abeykoon is a former President of CFA Sri Lanka, a member of the Rules Committee of the Colombo Stock Exchange and a member of the National Council for Economic Development in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Abeykoon holds a BSc in Information Systems and Management from the University of London, is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA – UK) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA – US). He also holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in the U.S.A.

Rajan Anandan

Rajan Anandan is a Managing Director of Sequoia Capital. He joined Sequoia in August 2019. In this role, Rajan leads early stage investing in startups in India and South East Asia.
His career includes global leadership roles at Google, Microsoft, Dell and McKinsey & Company.
Prior to Sequoia, Rajan was Vice President and Managing Director of Google India, responsible for all Sales and Operations in India. expanding the internet ecosystem in India, increasing adoption among consumers and businesses and accelerating the innovation ecosystem.
Before Google, he was the Managing Director of Microsoft India and prior to Microsoft, he was Vice President and Country General Manager of Dell in India also held several global leadership roles including being the Executive Assistant to Chairman Michael Dell.
Before Dell, Rajan was a Partner with McKinsey & Company in Chicago. He holds an MSc from Stanford and a BSc from MIT.

Supun Weerasinghe

Dialog Axiata PLC
Supun Weerasinghe is the Group Chief Executive and a Member of the Board of Dialog Axiata PLC. He has been with Dialog Axiata since 1999 and held multiple roles, such as Head of Strategy and CEO of Mobile Business before being appointed as Group Chief Operating Officer of Dialog Axiata in 2010.
In 2013, he was seconded to Axiata Group Berhad, in Malaysia as its Group Chief Strategy Officer. At Axiata, he also served as the Head of Network Transformation Strategic Business Unit under which he led Group Technology, Carrier Collaboration and the Axiata Intelligence Unit. From January 2014 to October 2016, Mr. Weerasinghe functioned as the CEO and Managing Director of Robi Axiata Limited in Bangladesh, the second largest mobile network provider in Bangladesh with 33 million subscribers.

Prajeeth Balasubramaniam

Prajeeth is serial entrepreneur and an active investor in early stage companies in Sri Lanka. He is the founder of Lankan Angel Network (LAN) which is Sri Lanka’s First Alliance of Angel Investors. He has been instrumental in creating the start-up ecosystem in Sri Lanka including launching the Venture Engine program in Sri Lanka. Prajeeth engages deeply with investee companies in all areas of company building including forging international partnerships, building teams, sales and marketing and follow-on fund raising.
Prior to his entrepreneurial experience in Sri Lanka, Prajeeth spent many years leading established businesses in UK, Japan and Australia. He has worked for renowned global corporations such as Federal Mogul and United Technologies Corp.

The startup teams should have some, if not all, of its operations in Sri Lanka. We are not able to invest in hardware companies.
